Plum Cake with Cinnamon Streusel: A Heavenly Homey Treat

Preheat oven: Set to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.

Prepare the cake batter:

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in eggs, one at a time.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually fold dry ingredients into the butter mixture, alternating with milk until smooth.

Assemble the cake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and evenly arrange the plum slices on top.

Prepare the streusel: In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the plums.

Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the streusel is golden brown.

Cool and serve: Let the cake cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
