Potatoes
1. Prepare Seed Tubers:
Cut potatoes into ~2 oz pieces, each with at least one “eye.”
Cure overnight to reduce rot risk.
2. Planting:
Plant 4 inches deep in compost-enriched soil.
Space pieces 12 inches apart.
3. Care During Growth:
Hill soil around plants when they reach 12 inches tall.
Water weekly.
Apply fertilizer when flowering begins.
4. Harvest:
Typically 7–8 weeks after planting, once foliage yellows.
