Prepare the Pot – Fill a large pot or saucepan with about 2 cups of water. Add lemon slices or ½ cup vinegar if desired.
Heat in the Oven – Place the pot in the cold oven. Set the oven to 250–300°F (120–150°C) and let it heat for 20–30 minutes. Steam will form inside the oven, loosening grease and baked-on food.
Cool Down – Turn off the oven and allow it to cool slightly for safe handling.
Wipe Down – Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe down the interior surfaces, removing loosened grime.
Tough Stains – For stubborn spots, sprinkle baking soda on the residue, add a few drops of water to make a paste, let sit for 10 minutes, then scrub gently.
Final Rinse – Wipe the oven clean with a damp cloth to remove any residue.
