Prepare the Cuttings
Trim your chosen stems and remove lower leaves that will sit in water.
Place in Water
Use a clean glass jar or container and submerge the stem ends (roots or lower part of the stem) in water.
Position in Light
Most herbs prefer bright, indirect sunlight. Some, like rosemary and oregano, thrive in sunnier windowsills.
Maintain Water
Change water weekly or every 3–4 days for delicate herbs like mint and parsley.
Top up water as needed to keep roots submerged.
Encourage Growth
Prune leaves and stems regularly to promote new shoots.
Keep leaves above water to prevent rot.
