Delicate Tilapia with Zesty Lemon Sauce

Pat tilapia fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Cook the Tilapia
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add fillets and cook 3–4 minutes per side until fish is opaque and flakes easily. Remove from skillet and set aside on a warm plate.

Make the Lemon Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth or white wine and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits. Stir in lemon juice, zest, and capers if using. Let sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.

Combine and Serve
Return tilapia to the skillet and spoon sauce over the fillets. Cook for another minute to warm through.

Garnish and Plate
Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and garnish with lemon slices. Serve immediately.
