Scallops in Lemon Wine Sauce: A Delightful Seafood Treat

Pat scallops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Sear Scallops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear without moving for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes. Remove scallops and set aside.

Make Lemon Wine Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Stir and let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly reduced.
Stir in lemon zest and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

Combine and Serve:
Return scallops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Cook for an additional minute to warm through.

Serve:
Plate scallops and drizzle with the lemon wine sauce. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
