In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, cabbage, green onions, broccoli, and optional seasonings (soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper). Mix well until evenly combined.
Place a dumpling wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of filling into the center of the wrapper.
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold over to form a half-moon shape, and press to seal tightly, making pleats if desired for a decorative edge.
Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Prepare a steamer by bringing water to a boil. Lightly grease the steamer basket or line it with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
Arrange dumplings in the steamer basket, leaving space between them to prevent sticking.
Steam dumplings over boiling water for about 6–8 minutes, until the shrimp is cooked through and the wrappers become translucent.
Carefully remove and serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
