Disassemble the Light:
Carefully open the solar light’s housing using the appropriate screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment cover.
Remove Old Batteries:
Take out the old rechargeable batteries and safely dispose of them according to local regulations.
Clean the Solar Panel:
Use a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water to gently clean the solar panel surface. For stubborn grime or oxidation, apply a small amount of white vinegar or rubbing alcohol on the cloth. Avoid scratching the panel.
Clean Internal Components:
Inspect the wiring and contacts. If corrosion or dirt is present, use sandpaper or a wire brush to clean the contacts. Spray a small amount of WD-40 or silicone spray to protect contacts if needed.
Replace Batteries:
Insert fresh, compatible rechargeable batteries ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
Clean the Lens:
Polish the light’s lens or cover with a clear plastic cleaner to remove dirt and restore clarity.
Reassemble and Test:
Put the light back together and place it in direct sunlight. Test the light at night to confirm it charges and illuminates properly.
