Italian Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes: A Flavor-Packed Twist on a Classic

Prepare the Garlic Bread:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Slice the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise.

Mix the softened butter and garlic salt together. Spread this mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Make the Sloppy Joe Filling:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess fat.

Stir in garlic powder and yellow mustard, mixing well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.

Assemble:

Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the toasted garlic bread halves.

Optionally, top with shredded cheese or fresh herbs if desired.

Cut into servings and enjoy warm.
