In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Add the dried hibiscus petals, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves to the boiling water.
Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer gently for 10–15 minutes.
Remove from heat and strain the tea into a teapot or heatproof container.
Sweeten with honey or your preferred natural sweetener if desired.
