Effortless Sparkling Toilets: How to Use Baking Soda to Clean and Perfume the Dirtiest Bowls

Sprinkle 1 cup of baking soda liberally around the inside of the toilet bowl, making sure to cover stains and dirty areas.

Add 1 cup of white vinegar slowly into the bowl. The mixture will fizz and bubble, helping to lift dirt and grime.

Let the baking soda and vinegar mixture sit for 10–15 minutes to work its magic.

Use a toilet brush to scrub the entire bowl thoroughly, focusing on stubborn stains and under the rim.

Flush the toilet to rinse away residue.

For a fresh scent, add 5–10 drops of your favorite essential oil directly into the bowl or onto the toilet brush before the final scrub.

Optional: Wipe down the toilet seat and exterior with a cloth dipped in warm water mixed with a teaspoon of baking soda for an all-around clean.
