The Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger Skillet with Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels to drain.

In the same skillet with bacon drippings, add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes.

Add the sautéed mushrooms and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove onions and mushrooms from the skillet and set aside.

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7-8 minutes.

Once the beef is cooked, return the onions, mushrooms, and crispy bacon strips to the skillet. Mix gently to combine.

Lay the cheddar cheese slices over the top and cover the skillet with a lid. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.

Serve hot directly from the skillet.
