Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the bread rolls:
Slice the top off each roll and hollow out the inside, creating a bowl without cutting through the bottom or sides.
Layer the fillings:
Place a slice of ham inside each hollowed roll.
If using cheese, add a slice on top of the ham.
Add the egg:
Carefully crack one egg into each bread bowl on top of the ham and cheese.
Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
