Preheat oven: to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Prepare bacon: Cut bacon slices in half if desired to fit crackers better.
Arrange crackers: Place butter crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Mix sugar & spice: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cayenne pepper.
Top crackers: Place one piece of bacon on each cracker. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cayenne mixture evenly over the bacon.
Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sugar has melted into a caramelized glaze. Watch closely to avoid burning.
Cool & serve: Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet. The sugar coating will harden as it cools, creating a delicious candied crust.
Tips and Variations

For a smoky twist, sprinkle a little smoked paprika instead of cayenne.
Serve with cream cheese or a mild cheese spread for extra indulgence.
Storage
Store cooled candied bacon crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For best crispiness, avoid refrigeration.
