Pour the milk into a small saucepan and add the crushed garlic cloves.
Heat the mixture on medium heat until it starts to simmer — do not boil vigorously.
Reduce heat and let it simmer gently for 5–7 minutes to allow the garlic to infuse into the milk.
Remove from heat and strain the milk into a cup to remove the garlic pieces.
Add honey or a pinch of turmeric if desired, and stir well.
Drink warm, preferably before bedtime.
