1 garlic clove, crushed
½ tsp ground turmeric (or 1-inch fresh turmeric root)
1 small slice of red or white onion
1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
½ tsp cinnamon powder or 1 small stick
2–3 dried or fresh guava leaves
2 cups water
Optional: Honey or lemon to taste
How to Make
Add all ingredients (except honey/lemon) to a small pot with 2 cups water.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Strain into a cup.
Add honey or lemon if desired and serve warm.
