Grandma’s Potatoes with Ground Beef

Cook the beef mixture:

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Add ground beef and chopped onion. Cook until beef is browned and onions are soft.

Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare the potatoes:

Heat oil or butter in a large pan over medium heat.

Layer the sliced potatoes evenly in the pan.

Season each layer with a little salt and pepper.

Assemble and cook:

Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the potatoes.

Cover and cook on low heat for 20–25 minutes until potatoes are tender and cooked through.

Serve warm:

Scoop generous portions onto plates. Perfect as a main meal or with a side salad.
