Make sure strawberries are completely dry. Any moisture can cause the chocolate to seize.
Melt the Chocolate:
Place the chocolate chips or wafers in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt chocolate in a double boiler on the stove.
Dip the Strawberries:
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly.
Let excess chocolate drip off.
Set the Chocolate:
Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Allow them to cool and harden at room temperature, or speed up the process by placing them in the fridge for 15-30 minutes.
Serve:
Once chocolate is set, serve fresh.
