Bruschetta with Sausage and Cheese: An Incredible Starter Idea!

Slice the rustic loaf into 1 cm thick slices. Brush each slice lightly with olive oil on both sides.

Toast the bread:
Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 5–7 minutes until golden and crisp.

Cook the sausage:
Remove sausages from casings and crumble the meat. Cook in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Assemble the bruschetta:
Optionally, rub toasted bread with a cut garlic clove for added flavor. Top each slice with cooked sausage and then sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.

Melt the cheese:
Return the assembled bruschetta to the oven for 3–5 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.

Serve:
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve warm as a tasty starter.
