Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg, then add the sour cream, mixing until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, vanillin (or vanilla extract), and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a soft dough forms.
Shape the dough into small balls or your desired shapes and place them on a greased or parchment-lined baking tray.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the edges turn lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
