Mix equal parts sugar and borax (a natural mineral powder) to attract and poison ants. Place the mixture in small containers or on cardboard near ant activity. Ants take the bait back to their colony, killing the queen and others.
Caution: Keep borax away from pets and children.
Seal Entry Points
After removing the ants, seal cracks and gaps with caulk or weatherstripping to prevent new ants from entering.
Maintain Cleanliness
Keep kitchen counters, floors, and dining areas free from crumbs and spills. Store food in airtight containers to avoid attracting ants.
Use Commercial Ant Sprays or Traps if Needed
For severe infestations, use ant sprays or traps labeled for indoor use, following all safety instructions.
Why This Method Works:
Disrupts ant communication and navigation.
Targets the whole colony, not just visible ants.
Uses natural deterrents and baits that are safe when handled properly.
Prevents re-entry by sealing access points.
