Dropping your phone into water can be stressful, but quick and careful action can improve the chances of saving it. Here’s what you should do immediately:

1. Remove the Phone from Water Immediately
The longer your phone stays submerged, the higher the risk of permanent damage. Get it out as fast as possible.

2. Turn It Off Right Away
If the phone is still on, power it off immediately. Using a wet phone can cause short circuits and further damage.

3. Remove Any Case, SIM Card, and Memory Card
Take off the phone case and eject the SIM and memory cards to help them dry and prevent damage.

4. Dry the Exterior Gently
Use a soft, absorbent cloth or paper towel to pat the phone dry. Avoid shaking the phone to prevent water from spreading inside.

5. Avoid Using Heat or Hair Dryers
