Unbelievably Delicious Ground Beef and Mushroom Skillet

Brown the Beef: Heat half of the oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.

Sauté the Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the remaining oil or butter. Sauté onion for 3–4 minutes until translucent. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.

Cook the Mushrooms: Add sliced mushrooms and the tablespoon of butter. Cook until mushrooms are golden brown and have released their moisture.

Make the Sauce: Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir well. Slowly pour in the beef broth while stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Add Dijon mustard.

Combine and Simmer: Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Stir everything together and let it simmer for about 5–8 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
