Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth.
Add the egg and vanilla extract. Stir until fully incorporated.
Mix in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir just until no flour pockets remain.
Fold in the oats and optional raisins until evenly distributed.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
