Rinse the guava leaves thoroughly under cool water to remove any dirt or debris.

In a saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.

Add the guava leaves (and cinnamon or ginger, if using), reduce heat, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.

Strain the tea into a mug and let it cool slightly.

Add honey or lemon to taste, if desired.

Sip warm or at room temperature.
