Early detection can save lives. Watch out for these three warning signs that could indicate skin cancer:
Unusual Sores or Lesions on the Lips
Persistent sores, lumps, or ulcers that don’t heal within a few weeks could be an early sign of lip cancer. Pay special attention if they bleed or are painful.
Changes in Nail Color or Texture
Dark streaks, spots, or unusual discoloration under or around the nails may indicate nail melanoma. Nails that suddenly become brittle, cracked, or develop lumps also warrant a check-up.
Persistent Redness or Swelling
If you notice ongoing redness, swelling, or thickening of the skin on the lips or around the nails, especially if accompanied by pain or tenderness, get it examined.
Important: If you experience any of these symptoms, consult a healthcare professional promptly for diagnosis and treatment.
Early detection improves treatment outcomes — stay alert and take care of your skin!
