Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly.
Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
Rub olive oil all over the potatoes and sprinkle with salt.
Place potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the inside is soft when pierced with a fork.
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then serve.
