Introduction
This vibrant Mexican shrimp cocktail (Cóctel de Camarón) is a chilled seafood salad packed with crisp vegetables, citrusy zing, and juicy shrimp—all coated in a flavorful tomato-based sauce. Ingredients
Shrimp & Veggies:

2 lbs (900 g) jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 celery stalks, thinly sliced

1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped

1 cucumber, peeled and chopped

2 ripe avocados, diced

½ small red or white onion, finely chopped

A handful of fresh cilantro, chopped

Sauce:

Juice and zest of 2 limes

Juice and zest of 1 orange

11.5 oz (340 ml) tomato juice

½ cup (120 ml) tomato sauce

2 garlic cloves, grated

Hot sauce (to taste)

Salt and black pepper (to taste)
