Make sure your pillows are machine washable (most down, feather, and synthetic pillows are).
Load the Washer
Wash two pillows at once to balance the drum. Place them vertically if using a top-loader.
Add Detergent & Boosters
Use a small amount of mild detergent.
Add ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of white vinegar directly into the drum to neutralize odors and kill bacteria.
Wash Cycle
Set the machine to a warm or hot water setting and use an extra rinse to remove all residue.
Dry Properly
Place the pillows in the dryer with two tennis balls or dryer balls (inside socks to reduce noise).
Use low heat and dry until completely dry. This can take 1–2 cycles.
Fluff pillows between cycles to break up clumps.
