Hearty Weekend Lasagna with Creamy Bechamel Sauce

Prepare Béchamel Sauce:

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add flour and stir constantly to form a roux, cooking for about 2 minutes.

Gradually add milk while whisking to avoid lumps.

Add salt, nutmeg, cloves, and the whole onion.

Let the sauce simmer gently for 15-20 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Remove the cloves and onion before assembling.
