Fried Oreos Cream Cookies and Cheesecake

Prepare the cheesecake filling:
In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the cookies:
Carefully twist apart each Oreo cookie. Spread about 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling onto the cream side and sandwich the cookie back together.

Make the batter:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and milk together. Combine wet and dry ingredients to make a smooth batter.

Heat the oil:
In a deep pan or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the cookies:
Dip each filled Oreo cookie into the batter, coating completely. Carefully place into hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides (about 1-2 minutes). Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Serve:
Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm.
