Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash them with hot milk, butter, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion in a bit of oil until soft. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the drained tuna to the skillet, breaking it apart gently. Mix well and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
In a greased baking dish, spread a layer of mashed potatoes, then add the tuna mixture, and top with another layer of mashed potatoes.
Optionally, sprinkle grated cheese or parsley on top.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and slightly crispy on top.
Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
