Garlic Butter Baked Scallops

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Rinse scallops under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Remove the tough muscle if still attached.

In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

Arrange scallops in a single layer in the baking dish. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each scallop.

In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the scallops.

Bake uncovered for 12-15 minutes, or until scallops are opaque and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
