Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same pot, add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 3 minutes.
Add diced potatoes, chopped carrots, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
Pour in chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Return the kielbasa to the pot. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes to heat through.
