In a large bowl, mix the dry yeast with a little warm water (about 50 ml) and let it activate for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.

In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and poppy seeds.

Add the activated yeast mixture, egg, vegetable oil, and vinegar to the dry ingredients.

Knead the dough until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).

Cover the dough with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Shape the dough into a loaf or rolls and place on a baking tray.

Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
