Ham and Cheese Croissants

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 4 equal rectangles.

Place one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on each rectangle.

Roll each rectangle into a croissant shape, starting from the short side.

Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush each croissant with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the croissants are puffed and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
