Crispy Potato Bread – Better Than French Fries!

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
Peel and boil the potatoes until tender.

Mash the potatoes smoothly and set aside to cool.

Step 2: Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and fresh yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it bubbles and activates.

Step 3: Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, activated yeast mixture, flour, olive oil, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt.

Knead the mixture until you get a smooth, elastic dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.

Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Step 4: Shape and Fry
After rising, divide the dough into small portions and shape them into flat rounds or sticks.

Heat plant oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Fry the dough pieces until golden brown and crispy on both sides (about 3-4 minutes per side). Drain excess oil on paper towels.
