In a mixing bowl, combine tomato juice, ketchup, lime juice, and hot sauce. Stir until well blended.
Add the shrimp, red onion, tomato, avocado, and cilantro. Gently mix to coat the ingredients in the sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
