Crisp and Simple Salt Crackers & Salt Cookies: Egg and Butter Free

In a small bowl, combine the lukewarm water, dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder.

Add the yeast mixture and vegetable oil to the flour mixture. Stir to form a dough.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes in a warm place.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Roll the dough out thinly on a floured surface. Cut into desired shapes for crackers or cookies.

Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Lightly sprinkle salt over the top for that perfect salty flavor.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
