Peanut Butter Balls with Chocolate Rice Krispies

In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.

Gradually fold in the chocolate rice krispies cereal, stirring gently until all the cereal is coated evenly.

If using, add powdered sugar to the mixture and blend thoroughly to achieve a slightly firmer texture.

Using your hands, form the mixture into small bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

Place the peanut butter balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
