Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a loaf tin with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Sift together the self-raising flour and baking powder, then fold gently into the wet mixture until combined.
Stir in the Seville orange marmalade and chopped dark chocolate until evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf tin and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
