How to Clean a Greasy Range Hood Effectively

Prepare the cleaning solution:
Fill a basin with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap or degreasing detergent. For stubborn grease, add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the mixture.

Remove the filters:
Carefully detach the grease filters from the range hood. Most filters slide or pop out easily.

Soak the filters:
Submerge the filters in the soapy water solution for at least 15-20 minutes to loosen grease and grime.

Scrub the filters:
Use a soft-bristle brush or an old toothbrush to gently scrub away remaining grease and dirt. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow them to dry completely.

Clean the hood’s exterior and interior:
Spray a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water onto the hood’s surfaces. Wipe down with a soft cloth or microfiber towel to remove grease and fingerprints. Repeat as necessary for heavily soiled areas.

Reassemble:
Once filters are dry, reinstall them into the range hood.
