Fill your washing machine or a large basin with warm water.
Add 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide to the water. Stir gently to mix.
Submerge the yellowed or grayed clothes and allow them to soak for 1 to 2 hours.
After soaking, add your usual amount of mild laundry detergent and run the washing cycle as normal.
During the rinse cycle, add 1 cup of white vinegar to help remove residues and brighten fabric fibers.
Dry clothes in sunlight when possible, as sunlight naturally whitens and disinfects fabrics.
