Slowly bring the water to a gentle boil over medium heat. Avoid rushing this process to prevent thermal shock.

Cook the eggs for the desired time depending on your preferred yolk consistency.
After cooking, immediately transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process and make peeling easier.
