Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Lay out four large pieces of aluminum foil on a baking sheet.
Arrange asparagus evenly in the center of each foil piece. Place one salmon fillet on top of the asparagus.
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
Spoon the lemon garlic butter mixture evenly over each salmon fillet and asparagus bundle.
Fold the foil over the salmon and asparagus to create sealed packets.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Carefully open the foil packets (watch for steam) and serve immediately.
