In a large bowl, soak the soda cracker crumbs in milk until softened.

Add the ground beef, finely chopped onion, and mix well with the soaked cracker crumbs.

Shape the mixture into 6 to 8 thin patties.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the patties until browned on both sides and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté the sliced mushrooms until tender.

Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and a little water if needed to thin the sauce.

Return the patties to the skillet, cover with the mushroom sauce, and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes to let flavors meld.
