Fluffy Fruit-Filled Bread with a Buttery Crumb

In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and egg white. Stir in the yeast and let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.

Add vegetable oil and mix well. Gradually add flour and corn starch, mixing until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Incorporate the softened butter into the dough and knead again until fully absorbed.

Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Once risen, divide the dough into equal portions and flatten each piece. Place a small spoonful of jam in the center of each and seal the edges to form a ball.

Arrange the filled dough balls in a greased baking dish or pan.

Cover again and let rise for 20–30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Brush the tops with egg yolk or milk if desired.

Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.

Let cool slightly before serving.
