Tender Baked Salmon Meatballs with Creamy Avocado Sauce

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil.

In a large bowl, combine the finely chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, shallot, garlic, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Shape the mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs (about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter) and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the meatballs for 12-15 minutes, until they are cooked through and lightly golden on the outside.

While the meatballs bake, prepare the avocado sauce. In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add cilantro if desired and pulse a few times to mix.

Serve the warm salmon meatballs topped or dipped in the creamy avocado sauce.
