Bring 2 cups of fresh water to a rolling boil in a saucepan or kettle.
Add the whole cloves and sliced or grated ginger to the boiling water. Reduce heat and let simmer for 5–7 minutes, allowing the spices to release their flavor.
Turn off the heat and add the Lipton tea bag to the spiced water. Cover and steep for 3–5 minutes depending on your preferred tea strength.
Strain the tea into your cup to remove cloves and ginger pieces.
Stir in honey or maple syrup for sweetness if desired. Add a splash of lemon juice for freshness.
Serve warm and enjoy the soothing, spicy aroma.
