Hearty Beef Vegetable Soup with Freshly Baked Dinner Rolls

Heat canola oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides, then remove and set aside.

Sauté vegetables:
In the same pot, add onion, celery, carrots, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Combine ingredients:
Return beef to the pot. Pour in beef broth, add potatoes, green beans, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Simmer:
Bring soup to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer gently for 2 to 3 hours, or until beef is tender and vegetables are cooked through.

Adjust seasoning:
Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed before serving.

Bake dinner rolls:
While soup simmers, prepare your favorite fresh dinner rolls or use store-bought dough. Bake until golden and fluffy.
